You can have a 4 octave range and not kill your dog.....

Practice vocal scale excercises.... ones that go both up and down the scale. If you want 4 octaves, you will have to be able to go lower as well.

I have no idea, but this site was helpful for me.

you can listen to an audio clip of what a soprano range is supposed to be.

You should ask a vocal teacher.

Talk to, and maybe get lessons from, a certified voice/vocal teacher.

If you could raise your range 4 octaves you would kill your dog or something, Celine Deon has 3 octave range so chew on that,

The best way to expand your range without damaging your voice is to hire a voice instructor. For this, try contacting a choir or music teacher at a college or highschool. If they cannot instruct you, they should be able to put you in contact with someone who can.
I sing the Second Alto part, and I can relate to you with wishing you had a higher range. Honestly, a two octave range is very good, and four to five octave ranges are uncommon and usually have the luck of genetics behind them. However, with practice, you may hope to add a few extra notes to your range.
Again, I wish to stress how important it is to look in to a voce teacher when attempting to expand your range - without one, you can injure your voice through stressing it.
