If someone could please just give me a run down of how they are different and which one would be better for a freind who plays guitar. If someone could please just give me a run down of how they are different and which one would be better for a freind who plays guitar. from what I can see for the $100 extra is the other one has USB for direct computer input (you can use the outputs to your sound card with a 1/4" to mini plug) and an XLR audio output for studio use (you can also use the 1/4" output, but it's not balanced and might have a little noise). It also comes with Cubase LE which is recording software which is a nice plus and the USB connect is used with this. The USB also powers the unit when plugged into a computer. The XLR is only used on studio boards and live clubs. You can use a DI box to connect from the 1/4" to the snake XLR if you don't have XLR If the person wants to do production music on the computer and use this for live gigs the extra $100 is not a bad deal. Otherwise the $90 unit is just fine. The have identical effects You are aware no footswitches come with either unit |
