Position:Home>Performing Arts> Are guitar tabs off the internet good for both acoustic and electric?

Question:Yes, there good for any guitar, unless you have it tuned differently....did you ever consider taking music lessons to learn how to read music notation....it's not as hard as you think, I've been teaching students how to read music for over thirty five years, and most don't have trouble with it at all ....consider it some time, I think your be surprised at how easy it is once you get the hang of it....I've had students say to me....is that all there is to this, if I'd have know this years ago I would have started sooner....every ones afraid....it's just like playing chess, it intimidates most but once you learn the pieces and how they move....it's not bad at all, figuring out the strategy it the hardest part....oh well I'm sorry I'm rambling....tabs can be used for acoustic, classical, and electric, remember, think about looking at some beginning to read music books for guitar, I think you'll be suprised....I can read tab but I think it's confusing because I've read notation for so long, I think (My Opinion) that notation is harder to read then music notation !!!!!!!!!!!

If you use standard tuning, yes.

Absolutely... i've used tabs for both acoustic and electric. I've found that sometimes you might want to modify some of the song's attributes like tempo, or some notes according to your liking, but for the most part they're usually pretty acurate. If you use a tab editor like guitar pro you can open the tab file and play the song back before even playing it on your guitar, and if something doesn't sound right make whatever changes you want. Guitar pro has a free trial version that works pretty well for playback but is limited for editing. The full version is worth every penny!
