Musical theatre people.. what would be a good choice for an up temp and a ballad

Question:im an alto and it has to be irving berlin, george cohen , george and ira gershwin, and rogers and hart or cole porter..

the song and dance era is the 1920's-1950's and i need sheet music and audio and i cannot find that either :(
anyone please help again im a girl and im a alto i think i can sing kinda high though

What I would suggest is try to find the movie "West Side Story" and rent or buy it. The music and dance was way before its time. It's a great movie to have in your music collection even if you cannot use this one.One idea I have even if you'll think its corny. is try and find some info. on where you can find copies of the Lawrence Welk shows. I live in Oregon and it is on every Saturday night on PBS. These shows are just filled with music, dance and costumes from all era's and If you check on the web. Iam sure you will find so many exciting ideas from Mr. Welks' shows. Have your parents or Grandma and Grandpa help you search. If you have Grandparents Iam sure they will get a kick out of it. Mostly everyone knows who Lawrence Welk was. Good luck. Brooklyn
