I haven't done it myself but my guitar partner does it. He has a daisy chain set up. His stomp boxes run off one adapter and the power is delivered in series. It will accommodate more boxes/pedals. It's made for this purpose and I don't know if they had to step up the power or not. I wouldn't try to do it myself without the proper power delivery but I would think that it wouldn't hurt it not to have enough power. It just might not work properly or at all. If you're doing it because you lost an adapter, you can get replacement adapters. That will also help you find your old one:o). Hope you get a better answer.

I've got a Boss adapter which happily runs about 3-4 pedals (I sometimes change how many I set up, usually Graphic EQ, overdrive and compress/sustain, sometimes I also use a 'dynamic filter' effect.)

you should be ok
my friend uses 1 power supply for 3 pedals

I think pedals usually draw about 100ma. But it would be easy to look up. Look at the owners manual - if you don't have it, look on line - you can download it. Also, double check the polarity of both pedals to see if it's the same.
