I use a Legere reed and think it sounds fine. Even if you use natural reeds keep a Legere for practice, band playing, emergencies when your reed splits. I tried Fibracel and Bari reeds, they were a lot lore expensive and didn't sound as good as Legere, and they didn't last.

Personally, I don't think of "synthetic" and "good" going together when it comes to reeds. Sure, they last longer, but their sound is awful. There are a few other brands out there that make synthetics. Go to a place like www.wwbw.com and look up reeds and peruse everything they have.

Rico. I use them and they last for a longtime!!!
