How long should I have my bassoon reed soaked in water?

Question:How long should I have my bassoon reed soaked in water before I play?

Is there a maxuim or minuim time? cause sometimes I take long break while practicing for a long time.

I don't think there's a minimum or max time for you to soak your reed. To break the reed in I would leave it in a old perscription bottle over night. Keeping it soaked between breaks is fine. Hope this helps
