Yamaha 471 (Allegro)

Which flute would you recommend for an intermediate player who has been playing for about 4 years, takes private lessons, and is involved in an orchestra outside of school?

The 461 is about $1700 online (gold plated lip model) and the 471 cost around $1900 (gold plated lip model) at a local Yamaha dealer. I was originally planning to get a sterling silver flute without a GP lip, since from what I hear it doesn't make a huge difference at my playing level.

I think the 471 has the split E mechanism, which the 461 doesn't seem to have. Any other differences?

Any flute recommendations are appreciated as well!

The one with the split E mechanism is open holed. I wouldn't recommend open holed if you don't plan to play past high school. The first one looks like it's closed hold, so yes, it would be a huge difference.
