Does anyone play a brass instrument? If so what?

Question:I play the french horn. I have since I was in 5th grade ( I was 9), that was 18 years ago! I now play professionally. I am the horn player in the Navy's Brass Quintet. (tuba, trombone, horn, 2 trumpets). When I lived in Chicago, I played in orchestras and an opera company. I've played in a competing woodwind quintet (flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, bassoon). I own 5 horns... a Conn 8D, Atikinson A800, Yamaha 667v, Lawson, and a Paxman.

I am totally a music nerd. I play for a living... I listen to orchestras, brass ensembles etc ('classical' music) on my iPod, radio and computer ALL the time, I play at church and community groups for fun... Constantly thinking of the horn as my job, hobby, and fun!

i play what is modernly considered a barss wind . it isn't that hard if you've ever played recorder

I've been playing since 4th grade I'm on my 8th year of playing now!

I play the trombone and the baritone and the trumpet.
I started the baritone horn (Euphonium) in 1955. I still play them all and love it. I play in community bands and there are many of them. If you ever need a friend and you play an instrument just join a community band and there they are.
