Do simple things like exercises then move onto bigger things.

Have you considered that maybe guitar isn't your thing?

it takes time to get it

not everyone is good at "everything", that's what make us speical.

But by keep practice, you can become better, it just matter u want to or not, and as far as how fast u want improve, it is depends onhow good u r and how fast u catch. that's why it so important to do thing because you love, not becuase just u want to be good at. because u will find, there is always someone better than u,but if u did it because of passions, then there is reward right there. good luck. keep practice.

practice, practice, practice!
practice and study make perfect.

Take a break for a month or two, don't go near your guitar. Then when you pick up and start playing you will surprise yourself at what you have really learned. Then just keep on practicing. just remember that 95% of talent is hard work.

If you're older it's harder to absorb information. If not trying getting someone that can help teach you.

some people just aren't meant to play guitar
you need the "spark" as i like to call it

Start a band. Competition will be a good motivator.

Because you are on here whining rather than practicing.

Well, in order to give a good answer, I would need to first know both how long you've been playing and what you would consider to be "good".

Musical expertise isn't something you can accomplish overnight. When you see someone rocking out on MTV, you can be assured that they live with their instrument constantly. More importantly, they HAVE BEEN living with that instrument for YEARS. It really does take time. You shouldn't expect to be a rock-star after a few months, or even a year. Pace yourself. If you really care about it, stick with it and it will pay off in time!
