Position:Home>Performing Arts> Which Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat recording is the best?

Question:My mom wants the soundtrack for her birthday, and I don't know which one to choose. Donny Osmond's? 1982 Broadway with Bill Hutton? 1992 Los Angeles cast with Robert Torti? 1991 London Revival? 1973 London?

There's a lot to choose from! Any opinions?

Phillip Schofield was my favourite Joseph, although I'm not sure there's an official recording anywhere. The one I have is Jason Donovan, and I love it. Having said that, if your mum is a Donny fan, she'd probably appreciate his version more than anything (and the same goes for any other incarnation of Joseph!).

i've only ever seen the one with donny osmond and i liked it alot...

I liked the London revival a lot. The Bill Hutton one is the most classic, I think.

I know this is a quite subjective answer, but I liked the good old oroginal version best (guess that's the London 1973)
