Question:I have a Boss Digital Delay pedal that is quite old(i think). It's my cousin's but he's letting me borrow it. He doesn't know what is wrong with it . Anyways, I've tried new 9 volt batteries, adaptors, but it just doesn't work. I was wondering what could be wrong with it before i consider even taking it to the music store.

Any ideas what is wrong?????? All ideas are useful!

I know it sounds dumb, but check all your cords first, make sure each one works separately, and that they are all plugged in good. I don't know if you have a volume knob on your guitar, but make sure it's up. I've seen people get all upset about their equipment to find out it's something simple. Besides that, I might guess it's a loose connection inside the pedal, but you would have to open it up to take a look.

I've never looked inside a foot pedal but there should be two wires running to each the input and output, if any are not connected you would be able to tell.

BOSS pedals HAVE to use BOSS AC adapters. That's a law of physics. If you HAVE a BOSS adapter, then the pedal is dead. Something blew it in it.
