Position:Home>Performing Arts> Is the flute and Piano pretty easy to play???

Question:Flute will require some time to learn it; but it's fairly easy to play; however the piano is fairly easy also if you apply yourself appropriately; as it was for me, but I did start at the age of 4 and I play by "ear". So playing by "ear" is not the same as learning it with "notes" like most people. But for me, the piano was the easiest! ... I love you!

LOL --- actually it's a phrase I use in closing my answers! I've used it for years! ... But you're suppose to love your neighbor as thyself anyways! So in that regards, YES, I do love everyone! :) Report It

  • I have never played the flute, but the piano is not. I've been playing since I was about 6 so for me, it is relatively easy, but even I have difficulty with some of the more difficult peices.

It's generally easy to memorize what notes to play. If you have someone play an easy song you can watch which notes they hit with their fingers and copy them and then memorize it. But as for learning the notes and how to read music, it takes time.

yes once you learn your notes and how to read them. Thats the hard part

The flute is easier to learn, and to carry around as well.

    cheers.

It depends how musical you are. Piano is not easy if thats what you mean. It all depends on how hard you want it. Flute is easiER if thats what you mean by easy, but anyghing is hard once you advance.

I currently play both. The piano is relatively harder because you have to focus on both clefs at once, and on flute you only have the treble clef. But after you get the hang of piano, it is fun to play because you can play the melody and harmonize at the same time.

Piano is very easy to learn, you have the white keys for notes and black keys for flat or sharp notes ... Easy ! And after it's harder with the two-handed play and rythm with arms independance ...
