I need help finding my voice?

You might experiment with different recording programs. I use Audacity, which you can download at Audacity.sourceforge.net. If that doesn't help, I'm not sure what to say. Good luck with whatever you end up doing. :)

Voice that you hear when you speak or sing without recording and recorded voice is usually rather contrasting in terms of quality and tone.

Try some vocal lessons for that will be a great advantage in terms of hearing and discerning between pitch and tone.

I was the worst vocalist for many years... it was absolutely hilarious. There's only one way to improve; record, over and over again. I've recorded myself thousands of times, and I'm beginning to get pretty good. If you practice enough, you'll sound great. By practice, I mean you record yourself DAILY. Buy yourself the equipment if you need to.
