Position:Home>Performing Arts> Musicals: Big fanfare or emotionally stirring numbers?

Question:I'm looking for songs from musicals (Broadway or film, including Disney) that are either emotionally stirring or of big fanfare with a substantial part (if not a solo) for a strong female vocalist.

Things that are similar to what I'm looking for include:
NYC (Annie)
All That Jazz (Chicago)
Defying Gravity (Wicked)

I also enjoy songs from animated films such as Belle's Song (Beauty and the Beast), and A Rumor in St Petersburg (Anastasia).

I'm already familiar with the songs from Les Mis, CATS, RENT, A Chorus Line, and Phantom of the Opera, so I don't need suggestions from those.

Here are some of my favories:
"See I'm Smiling" from Last 5 Years
"Show Off" from Drowsy Chaprone
"Another Suitcase in Another Hall" from Evita
"So Much Better" from Legally Blonde
"No One is Alone" from Into the Woods
"In His Eyes" from Jekel and Hyde
"There's a Fine Fine Line" from Avenue Q

Hope that helps!

Try something from "Mame" or "Cabaret" if you need a good alto song or something from "The Music Man," "The Sound of Music," or "My Fair Lady" if you need a soprano song.

Good luck! I hope you find what you're looking for!
