Music that is recorded is most likely transcribed in the key of C,for pop and the like,Even if its written in a different key.

This is because the feeling the artist who recorded the piece
is most likely able to be reproduced by other musicians,in the key of C.

However much of the "passion/feeling" can be be lost due to the key change.So when that is the issue it is necessary to tune to the key that the original piece was written in.

I hope this helps,but truthfully,key changes are only a problem/issue for stringed instruments,cause of the layout of the notes(It becomes harder)to accomplish the chord progressions due to the reliance of open notes.
