Before buying a grand piano, I recommend you to buy first an inexpensive keyboard.

For a beginner, I recommend the keyboards made by Casio that has some good preset songs and tunes. Some Casio keyboards also have the "light-up" effect so that you can follow which keys to press and gradually increase you skill with the piano.

When you have fully mastered the piano keys and chords, you should save up and buy a grand piano. Grand pianos have better sound reproduction and a natural reverb than electronic keyboards. The best grand piano manufacturers are Yamaha and Young Chang.

But if you prefer great quality keyboards than pianos, you should settle for Korg or Roland!

And if you're up to the challenge, you can try playing keytar later on. Keytars are guitar-like versions of keyboards, but the strings are replaced with the keys, thus KEY-TAR. The best ones are made by Yamaha, Roland or Williams.

Good luck and enjoy the music :)

A keyboard that has all the keys will be a more cost afficiant way to go for you first buy

Just buy a little keyboard and as you get better you can move on to a bigger one an then the piano
