Question:alright well here's the deal, i've always wanted to play the guitar and I'm finally getting one for my sixteenth birthday. I only have a bit of musical experience, well actually this sounds pathetic I sang in choir and played the viola in 4rth grade. ( im in eleventh grade now). Thats about all the musical experience i have except singing to myself. I want to be able to sing and play the guitar, I'm not worried about playing the guitar but singing, I'm not good with pitches probably because of my lack of musical experience and I can't hold notes, I cant sing high and when I pratice that do-re-me-fa-so-la-te-do my voice starts shaking on la - te-do. Is there any hope for my voice, what are your suggestions?

I'm not sure if it's the guitar or the voice that your more into learning....having weekly lessons would help. I would take the guitar lessons first and then tackle the voice, get a good guitar teacher or go to one of the music centers that give them, or go on line to one of the web sites where you can take lessons, or get the Cd's, video's, or DVDs. Below are some sites that you may want to look at if you can't afford guitar lessons, the ones at the end are the free sites but I'm not too crazy about those, you get what you pay for....you be the judge when you view them, good luck....and when your gain a little bit of guitar knowledge then try the voice !!!!!!!
