Real guitar or guitar hero?

Question:i know guitar hero is fun. but why not play a real guitar??
i play one and playing one is better then guitar hero. that my opinion.

i totally agree! and i totally agree! i dont have a les paul but my friend does and i go to his house so i can play it. lol. real guitar is really cool. especially if you actually know how to play it. not just like tabs, or diagrams. if you know your chords and notes etc...

My husband plays a guitar and has a hard time playing guitar hero....he says that it feels way different to play the game and prefers to play the real thing. His father (who also plays guitar) agrees and actually feels offended that the guitar is made the way it is as well.

As far as I'm concerned they are almost completely unrelated.

There is no 'music' in guitar hero as there are no dynamics or tone colour or emotion of any kind. Its just another attempt to quantify the unquantifiable, another attempt to make music into a technical speed drill instead of a vehicle for human emotion.

Its OK to have fun pretending but it is just that, pretending and has very little to do with music, if anything. Of course I prefer a real guitar.

I agree...wow a Les Paul....how lucky are you...guitar hero is fun but why not go for the real thing !!!!!!! I've played classical guitar and acoustic for years and cannot imagine starting with something like guitar hero....but that's just my opinion....maybe I'm getting to old !!!!!!!!!
