Monologue subject?

Question:I have to write a 2-4 minute monologue for my theater classes monologue show, but i cant think of anything to write about. any ideas for a good subject?

Em has given good advice. What about you thinking up an excuse why a report for your teacher isn't ready? You could start by thing of usual excuses: I did write it but . . . the dog ate it; my mum thought it was rubbish; and get more and more surreal the CIA took it as it had official secrets in it; as I was bring it to school Aliens captured me. You have the idea. Expand the ideas. Then finish with 'I'll just have to tell the truth . . . and see if you can think of something good to end with.

I just did a humerous monologue about internet dating for my drama class. I think doing something that you can relate to or knnow something about is easy. You'll get a better audience reaction too if they know what you're talking about.
