Learning piano?

Question:I've recently started learning how to play the piano at school. However, due to required classes and whatnot, I can only take one year. Would I be able to learn the piano very well? If I can, how? Some start very young but can someone who starts playing as a teen become a good pianist?

if you can learn the notes and the beats and can read sheet music---you can teach yourself after the first year.
