Q1. One of the best singers I ever worked with didn't start singing until she was 24, had a record deal at 27. The key is focus. Most 16-y-o's don't put in the time it takes to catch up to someone who's been playing since they were very little. Test yourself this way: can you practice 1 hour a day for 3 months? If so, you're well on your way to good muscianship.

Q2. Try covering songs together. It forces you to get outside of yourselves and learn new things, and you'll automatically learn important "band stuff" like song structure, lyric writing, melody, etc. Once you feel like you've mastered a dozen or so covers, try writing some originals.

wtf well iveen sadder bands just try to put the pieces together think everything out and get advice

practice, practice and pratice. all the time in your head in your sleep find what derection of music you want to play. listen to all types of music to find your self.any more e-mail me.

the whole movement of Punk was based on the inability to play ones instrument, beyond a percussive thrust and the means and ways to be LOUD,VERY LOUD!and of course, you must be tragically hip, and positively OOZE ATTITUDE! woe be to the punker who learns more than 2 chords.play till you all have blisters on your fingers, that should help with the general anger thing.oh,and if anybody DARES to tell you that you stink, you must laugh at the wanker and spit on him.you'll get a terrific reputation in no time.best of luck!

i used to be in a band, but now i'm working on a solo project. I work better all by myself. i started playing guitar at age 14. you're still so young. it's never to late to learn an instrument. you just have to find out what works for you. if you're good at rhyming and beats, pick up a drumkit. it was very easy for me to learn.
guitars, bass and keyboard/piano takes ages to learn. well it only took me a few weeks to be able to play guitar, but it takes ages to be really really good.. like jimi hendrix... that takes years and years of practice.
my suggestion is... take any instrument.. find out which one is suitable for you and start learning..
i'm about to learn my third instrument... violin.. learning to play musical instruments is so much fun.

Lets take the steps for your own group...
My best wishes for you always......
