I am assuming by your avatar that you are a female.

The answer to your question is not an easy one, but I will certainly try to help you the best I can.

Please don't listen to anything anyone has said as they obviously have no clue what to do at an audition.

When going to an audition you want to sing something that the people will know. You need to be careful though so that you don't pick something too well known and it will ultimatley harm you, and you will immeadietly be compared to the original vocalist.

My suggestions for your descrbed voice type,

A new life from Jekyll & Hyde the musical
You don't know this man-Parade

If you want to do something more upbeat and fun

Good Morning Baltimore- Hairspray

NEVER! sing anything that you dont feel comfortable with, and always make sure you bring an accompanying CD, or piano part. Accapella auditions very rarely work and will not be good, especially if you are new to the audtion scene.

Good Luck and feel free to email.me with any further questions

To Reach the Impossible Dream

Dont Wanna Miss A thing by Aerosmith, this is a song almost everybody knows and is a great song

Mariah Carey songs (Hero) are always good, but risky.
As the person above me said, "I don't want to miss a thing by Aerosmith" is a classic! Or you could do a Norah Jones song, if you're into blues. Good luck =D

Bubbly because it had that relazed tone and she does not go to high or low.

Amazing Grace
I have the same type of voice, and I find I can do hymns the best.

what about Anything Goes from the broadway production. that song really shows off your voice, not to mention it has a great beat. i wish i knew what you were auditioning for. if its for a musical definetly do something from another show.

Mariah Carey- Hero
It might be a little high but it's the first one that popped into my head.

it depends on what type of musical performance u r auditioning for!

Do you mean for a musical theatre audition? Or just a singer's audition for some sort of choir or show? It really depends. I'm going to answer this as if you meant musical theatre, because that's what I'm good at. A well known Mezzo Soprano song is the very overdone "On My Own" from Les Miserables. Its classical, popular, and I think it only hits a D, so not too high. You could also look into "All I ask of You" from Phantom of the Opera, which is, again, very well known and classical and isn't too high. If you need sheet music, go to Musicnote.com. You can buy any song for only 5 bucks. Good deal! So good luck!

my best answer for you is( all cryed out)lisalisa cult jam

Feelings

do you really want to hurt me? culture club.

it all really depends on what you're auditioning for. but just a few pointers don't choose something that a million people and their grandmas would choose. (not Amazing Grace not At Last not Memory from Cats) it has to be a song that shows your range and personality (again depending on what you're auditioning for.)

All that Jazz- Chicago
Your Daddy's Son- Ragtime
Seasons of Love- Rent
Cry- Mandy Moore
Have You Ever- Brandy
Big Girls Don't Cry- Fergie
Bohemian Rhaspody-Queen

which ever fits you.
