Is it really crucial to be able to dance if you want to be on broadway?

No....if you want to be in a play that doesn't require dancing just knowing how to act. But, a lot of Broadway shoes tend to be musicals, so in that case yes you would have to be able to dance.

yes. It helps to be able to sing, dance, and act, and one of those has got to blow people away! You can't walk in to an audition and announce "I don't dance" You'll most likely be told "You don't get cast."
