Carousel is quite possibly the best Rodgers and Hammerstein musical out there. It is witty, sophisticated, complex, dark, and still appeals to us as universally as the comic, home-spun, simple Oklahoma! "If I Loved You" and "You'll Never Walk Alone" are masterpieces -- please treat them as such!

Awesome!! My favourite scene is the one where we finally meet the daughter. I just think she's so free and beautiful. I love her spirit and the way she and her mother have a close relationship.

The only thing I don't really like is that hitting=love in the movie.

Break a leg!!!

My favorite song is "You'll Never Walk Alone". My favorite scene is the high school graduation when Shirley Jones is singing this song and Billy is whispering encouragement to his daughter and you see the daughter's change of attitude...I cry everytime:)
