First of all you should go to acting school, a lot of the performing arts schools have this in their curriculum, so do a lot of colleges. Then I would try everything possible, try out for your local college plays, if there's a theater in your area try out for that....if you live close to N.Y. there are many places that you could go for tryouts...Variety always has something in their paper about tryouts....or what they call go see's...But most of all I think getting all the acting education possible would be your greatest asset !!! Good luck to you, I hope you make it....if you have that great desire and persistence your time will come, just be patient, there are a lot of dues to pay before most actors/actresses make it, you here them say that all the time, about how they worked for years before they got their break !!!!!!!

I'd suggest going to college for it. Most colleges have a BA in Theater, where you can get some experience acting on stages. But, don't just do this. While you do it, try out for a lot of jobs, commercials, movies and stage. You may fail 1000 times, but you may succeed once or twice too. You have to keep honing your skills, and trying to get jobs.

My advice would be taking an acting class, if you haven't already.
If you have, just audition for local community theatre shows, etc.! If you don't cast, some how get involved and learn the ropes of behind the scenes. Don't be upset (although I must admit - I do get upset but it's more frustration) if you get rejected - just audition!
Also, if you want to do something singing/dancing related, I suggest maybe taking dance or voice lessons.

As someone who desparately wants to be on stage and been in only four or so shows my whole life (I've been involved with theatre four five years off and on) out of eight auditions, I just audition for the shows. If I didn't make it, I worked behind the scenes. Out of those four shows, two were shows that I ended up replacing for someone. I also took an acting class four years ago, and another one last year - they helped tremendously! I am working on a musical right now by helping to build/design the sets and be assistant to the music director, despite having a horrendous audition.
However, the dance lessons and voice lessons are something I still need to do...but I hope to maybe start soon!

As we say in the theatre world, break a leg!

First of all, you need an agent. (Which is really hard to find.. trust me, I;ve tried..) Second, you need MONEY. I'm talking cold hard cash, like LOTS. Third, You need talent. (which I'm pretty sure you have.) Last but not least, you need faith, with no faith, there's no career. :) Hope it helps.
