Question:I am a good flute player. But, I want to play the piccolo. If I got a piccolo, would I be able to play it? Is it the same fingerings as flute(only smooshed together)?
Any advice for switching is appreciated!

Yes, the fingering is the same as the flute only the piccolo does not play 'bottom c' (middle c on flute)
the piccolo is an octave higher as you probably already know :)
It is hard to play piccolo at first, you need to blow a lot harder and having good embouchure must help ^^
Although the fingering is more compact, it isnt as tricky as it seems.
I think the hardest thing is getting the good quality sound you will have from playing the flute, as it requires more work!
But i defnitly reccomend playing it, though i would still play flute too because the two are quite different :)

The fingerings are the same for a piccolo as a flute. The only difference is that you would only barely breathe in the piccolo because it is SOOO loud! Just blow in it the same way you would be practicing in the flute.

Piccolo is a little harder than the flute its so high pitched it gets annoying sometimes, but yea if your good go for it!
