ok, so first of all, you cant reach it yet so stop trying (for now) you need to practice scales and long tones. hold out the nothes of a scale and keep a steady air stream on all of them. be sure you have really little pressure. do lots of buzzing on the mouth pice and do slow sirens (as high as you can go, then as low as you can go repeating as much as possible) be sure you breathing bigger and have a more controlled breath, listen to famous trumpet players and try to sound like them. aslo the lower you can play the better you can play higher, it loosens up your lips and has less tension. its good that you are using lots of air, but it wont come out without practice. talk to a profesional, or a teacher to heelp you on ur level

keep in mind instruments take time, be sure you are not forceing anything, and strive for perfection every note you play. consider private lessons with someone who can help you out and know your music levels.

good luck

Omg I have the same problem. You could ask your instructor for some tips on how to reach those notes.. Good luck.

Most famous trumpet players just shot a bunch of heroin, try that.

Take it slow and don't force it. If you're squeaking, that means you're putting a lot of pressure on your chops by cramming the mouthpiece into your face. When you go higher, you need more (and faster) air. That's it. Bring your tongue up to the roof of your mouth to create a smaller passageway and speed up the air to go higher.

Another tip : use long tones. Start in the middle of your range and play long tones. Slowly work your way both up and down. Like :
G G# F# A F and so on.
play at a medium volume and center in on that note to make it sound as beautiful as you can. I used this as a warm up for a long time and it helped build my high range chops. Good luck!

From your icon(picture) - I checked your profile, and no info. - one would assume your gender to be female. Right? Wrong?

If right:

Trumpets traditionally - or any member of the brass family - are not chosen by would be female musicians. So I would submit that you're attempting to be competent in a pursuit that is rarely achieved.

You can research membership in any instrumental organizations, past or present, and you will very, extremely rarely come across a female brass instrumentalist.

Why is this? I could submit a plausible explanation, but if I did I would undoubtedly be accused of being a male chauvanist. So I want attempt one.

If you persist in your endeavor to hit a solid high note on your trumpet, I would suggest you consider the following.

First of all, learn to breathe from your diaphram. Expand your lungs to their fullest, and hold your breath for as long as possible; then let it out as slowly as you can, without exploding. Practise this daily, by itself, not in conjunction with practising your instrument.

And the formation of your embouchure and strength of your lips may have something to do with it. Consult a professional trumpist if you can, and see if they think you should continue with the trumpet; or would be better off switching to a woodwind instrument.

Hopefully helpful,

P.S.- I attempted multiple times to activate "Check Spelling", but was unsuccesful. Apologize for any misspellings.

im a trumpet student but here are 3 major things:
1) use a tee not a tah
2) use faster air
3) press lips tighter against each other
And most importantly, don't push yourself to hard. you can also try using a 5c. Depends on you.

i would give u a long summary on how to do it but hear is the short and simple version. Tighten ur lips and corner apply alot of air(but dont force it) and try to hit the pitch if u dont hit it its ok that just means u have to build your lip muscles, i suggest you do a major scale and hold out each note for 16 counts at like 90 on the metrenome
