Question:I'm really frustrated right now. What string do I use to replace the second from the bottom, a .010 or a .014? Also what do you use to clean your guitar?

On an acoustic guitar you probably want a .014, but if one needs to be replaced, they probably all do. There are several brands of guitar cleaner (spray on) but don't use furniture polish, it leaves a wax build up. Have fun!

a smaller string may hurt your finger more than a larger one.

Use the 0.14 The 0.10 is generally used as an E string. I use pure lemon oil on my instruments. It feeds the wood and tends to get rid of the nasties that build up. I generally use even thicker strings myself by the way.

Light gauge
e - 0.10 - 0.12
b - 0.14 - 0.16
G - 0.24 - 0.28
D - 0.32 - 0.36
A - 0.42 - 0.48
E - 0.50 - 0.56

Add a couple on the end to get medium gauge. Hope this helps.

Both of these answers should be answered by an expert at some place like the Guitar Center or Sam Ash....I can't advise you as to what gauge string to use....I don't know what kind of guitar you have or what type of strings you already have on the guitar....as for a cleaner...it depends on your acoustic, what kind of wood or lacquer is on there already, in the guitar store they have all kinds of cleaners to use...but I would tell the clerk what you have and go from there...sorry that I couldn't help any more then this...but I wouldn't want to advise you if I don't know everything about your strings and type of guitar, so play it safe and ask an expert...bye !!!!!!!!
