FLUTE question!?

Question:Okay, so I'm 13 years old and I know NOTHING about flutes. However, in music at school I play the flute. I brought the flute home but I dont know how to play the notes! Is there a website or picture thingy that could help me with the fingering and where to place my fingers to play each note?

Tink's answer is correct, you need to get a method book; Best In Class (is o.k.), Accent on Achievement, Essential Elements, Standard of Excellence; those are all excellent books. They start with book one, and go through book 3. Some of them even have Technique books that will help you even more, but that's a little ways down the road. My other suggestion is that you find a good teacher. One website I like to use with my students is www.musicracer.com . It's an excellent website to help you learn your fingerings.

if u go on google, type in flute fingering chart, and there will be many sites that can help you out. i play the trumpet and i needed a trumpet fingering chart, and i got many results from google.

I would recommend buying a method book to help you out. They also have all sorts of little exercises for you to play and practice. Or just go here:
