What is the best acoustic guitar to purchase if you are a beginner?

Question:I asked my BF for a guitar for Christmas and I have to clue what type to buy, I know I want an Acoustic. I have no prior expierence either but have always wanted to play.

If you want an Acoustic, I'd go with Takamine. They have a good selection of entry-level guitars, and the prices are reasonable. It's a good brand name, which means you won't have to worry about it falling apart on you. Fender also offers a good acoustic guitar pack that includes case, picks, tuner, strap, etc.

Beginner or otherwise, a Martin, a Taylor, or a Gibson would be prime selections. The price tags get in the way for most beginners.
