Position:Home>Performing Arts> Are there any piano pieces written where all ten fingers are used at once?

Question:I was just answering another question when I started wondering: Are there any piano pieces written where all ten fingers are used at once? I'm particularly wondering about pieces that have multiple ten-fingered chords. I thought it might have been done by John Cage, but that's just a guess based on the fact that he's crazy. ^_^

I'd be even more interested to know if there were any pieces where 11 or 12 notes are to be played at once. You know, with a thumb holding down two notes, or something like that. Also, I'm not looking for something where a suspension pedal is being used. All notes must be played and held (if required) by the fingers.

(Anything close will also be great. Say, 9 notes with a grace note, or something else that sounds interesting.)

- Eagerly awaiting your responses.

I think you may find what your looking for in a Satie Collection, but am unsure as I am not particularly fond of it.
Also, a Rachmaninoff has the potential for this form of Masichism you requested.

Hope it helps!
