What are the best kind of drum heads to use for marching snare drums?

Question:Right now at my school we're using some old yamahas and i need to find drum heads that will help to make them NOT sound like crap. We're using weather king black maxs and i dont like em. I saw a couple schools last year had white drum heads that sounded really nice. If anyone knows what those are or has a different suggestion your input would be greatly appreciated.

most schools use the remo white max i use the evans MX white
