How does one start their own theater company? there arent any where i live.?

Question:First find a place where you can put on a show (could be a park, a school or college stage, or your back yard)

next invite friends and family to join your venture. Make a board of directors to handle the theaters affairs (tickets, costumes, house/set decorator, play selections, play bill, refreshments, usher staff, etc)

Select plays you can afford . Since you are beginning, select shakespeare (his stuff is free) or other authors where the fees are low or write some yourself. Select a season (pick dates your shows will run). Hire directors for your plays. audition actors, rehearse the play and put it on

Now in putting it on, remember if you do the play in the park or your back yard, it will usually be daytime. you do not need to rent lights or gels. In schools, you may need to rent both the space and the lights. Remember about play bill, your ads from your play bill will fund further plays
