French Horn?

Question:Who all here plays the French Horn or knows what it is and what do you think about it. I play the French Horn and love it!!

my husband fell in love with the instrument when he was 11. He's been playing for 42 years now, and writes articles for The Horn Call magazine as well. We have old horns ( as in, beat up, unplayable, but shiny) hanging up on our living room walls for ornaments.
Yeah, French horn is great!
Have you ever heard it's younger bass cousin, the Wagner Tube? You play it like horn (uses the same mouthpiece) but it goes an octave lower.

I play the flute, so can't answer you that. But in band class I sit right in front of our two french horns. Absolutely love the sound of them! If I would ever take up another band instrument, it would be the horn.

French horn is a great instrument and I love it too. I teach band and love to have as many horn players as possible. The sound is great.
