Position:Home>Performing Arts> What are some good Broadway duets for teenage girls to sing for a Musical Theate

Question:We are 14 and are looking for something upbeat and exciting to dance to. So far we have come up with three songs, but neither of us would choose those if we didn't have to. We have the Stepsisters Lament and Impossible from Cinderella but they are both a bit short. Only like 2 minutes. We also are considering Take me or Leave me from Rent, but Maureen has alot more parts than Joanne. PLEASE nothing from Wicked, Phantom, or High School Musical. Our Drama teacher would KILL us! Please answer!!

Grease - Summer Nights

Phantom of the Opera - All I Ask of You (just had to put that in since I think that's the best duet ever)

Oklahoma - People Will Say We're In Love

Chicago - Class

It would also be fun to dress one of you up as a guy to do the guy's part. I don't know why you would avoid it since it is acting..

What is wrong with Wicked, Phantom, or High School Musical? Your teacher should kill himself.

you can go see high school muscial 1 and 2. you seem nice what is your name?

MAMA MIA!
Timeless songs such as Dancing Queen, I Have a Dream, Voulez-Vous, and Take a Chance on Me, are ingeniously woven into an enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship. On the eve of her wedding, a daughter's quest to discover the identity of her father brings 3 men from her mother's past back to the Greek island paradise they last visited 20 years ago.

I saw it and it was fabulous and age appropriate
good luck and have fun!

Gender appropriate ... oldies but goodies.

"You and Me" from Victor-Victoria
"We'll Walk Down the Avenue" from Easter Parade
"Sisters" from White Christmas
"Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better)" from Annie Get Your Gun

Your teacher would approve. Honest! Have fun, girls!

If not For Good from Wicked then definitely--If Momma Was Married from Gypsy (it's from the yellow Popular Solos for Young Singers, Side by Side. Is that alright?

high school musical, its not a broadway but everyone loves it
