Question:So I sing opera and want to be a musican. You know get some classical training. Does anyone know how I could get started? (other than voice lessons, and choirs)

A really good way to get started is to go to see lots of Opera. Get recordings, listen to them, start to hum along. become really really familiar with the sort of opera you want to sing (do you want to do modern, or romantic, or baroque etc.) get DVDS of them, you can usually borrow them from the library.
Try taking classes in musical theory. It is mandatory for a classical musician.

It takes many years to become an opera diva, get used to having no money, working unbelievably hard and having no time for anything else. And even then there are no guarantees. You may simply not have the voice or look.
