Dont ever apply online to be an extra. Don't ever pay anyone to be an extra. You can make 50-75 dollars a day non-union. If you are a SAG extra (Screen Actors Guild) you can make 175-200 a day.

Call your local film commision in your state. Visit their website. Download a list of SAG accredited agencies in your area.

DO NOT PAY AN AGENY ANY MONEY UP FRONT. DO not let them charge you to be put up on a website.

Call your local SAG Agency and ask them who the legitimate extra agents are.

Go to imdb.com (the internet movie database) and look up who the casting directors are for the films there.

Give this a try and see what happens....I've never heard of a place where you can apply to be a movie extra....I have heard that every once in a while a newspaper will run an add "Extras Needed for a Movie". Do you remember that guy who stared in "All in the Family", he was one of those people that didn't start acting until he was in his eighty's.....so good luck to you...I hope you make it !!!!!!!!!

Where do you live?
Extras make about 20-25 dollars per day, it's not great but it's for people seriously hoping to be noticed by someone and asked to say a line, thats when they become an actor.

Theres tons of places in vancouver I know of, but the agencies take 15% of their background worker's cash.

If you want film industry work just in backgrounds, if you have a FACEBOOK account and add yourself to groups such as Vancouver Talent Industry they always have postings for unsigned actors and background performers.

go to your local adult bookstore and check the bulletin board. I bet someone needs extras for a movie.
