You have to put a wax thing on it
when I played violin I was stressed about that until my teach told me to put some violin stuff on it.
If your violin sounds like an elephant then there is no violin tuner to help.

I might suggest that you stop sawing.
You have to see an expert on fine instruments....their the only ones who can tell you what's wrong with it !!! Look in you phone book....if not check the Internet for fine instrument repairs...you should be able to locate something from Internet...try typing in this on google...violin repairs....and I bet you'll get hundreds of places to check out !!!!!!!! P.S. do you use resin on your bow...?
this website will give you pitches to match:

learning how to get in tune just takes practice.

As to your tone problems, you probably should visit a violin repair or expert and find out if it's the instrument or your technique that's the problem. Try making sure your bow is rosined and the right tension, then check your bow stroke. If it's making elephant noises, you're probably pushing down too hard and moving the bow too slow.
are you sure you have a violin and not an elephant .better go check LOL : )
