Position:Home>Performing Arts> What kind of guitar to get?

Question:My acoustic is already over 20 years old and I think it's time for it to take it easy. I'm thinking about getting a 6 string, electric acoustic guitar now....but

My current guitar has proven to be too large for me. I am only 5 feet tall and I have a hard time reaching around its body. (It's 38 ", a full sized behemoth to me) so i want to get something more fitting. Literally.

Any recommendations on guitars?

Thank you. ^_^

Acoustic parlor guitars are making a return again, and long overdue. Many people find the dreadnoughts too large and the kiddy guitars out of the question, but a parlor guitar is most suited for almost everyone. It's a bit larger than a Les Paul and has a full 19-fret neckboard.

I learned on such a one--an LG-3 Gibson--and my right arm never tired of holding it. I still play it from time to time.
I say get an electric guitar and make it look good too.
