Learn to play guitar?

Question:I have always wanted to play the guitar I started a few times so I know about the sore fingers and that doesnt really bother me, I dont have the time to go take lessons from a person. are there any learning aids i can do at my house?

Why not go on line for lessons....or buy one of the learning aids, such as Cd's, videos, or DVDs off one the sites that I'm going to give you....check these out and see what you think .

You should be able to find something on one of these sites that will help you get started....I think these are great sites....I wish that they had them when I first started out....I teach classical and acoustic guitar....and have recommended these sites to a lot of students....they have great teaching aids today...especially for those who can't afford private lessons, or have the time to go for weekly lessons.. mark the frets on your guitar with a number ie first string is 1 last string usually 22 or 21 and use the numberical tabs because it easier than notes , it helped me learn quicker

Practice playing your favorite songs with tablature and try writing songs using simple 3 chord progressions.

Go to your local store that sells software. There are some great titals out there for learning guitar, also try Amazon.com, and E bay.
