You see all kinds of dress....but most women wear a dress, skirt, suit, this way you won't feel out of place....I know when I go to the academy of music in Philadelphia I've seen everything from minks to jeans and sandals !!!!!! So play it save and dress semi formal, formal, or the way that you would going to court !!!!!!
Theatres don't have a dress code these days, as far as I'm aware.

Smart but comfortable would be my advice. If you're sitting high up it's likely to get quite warm (as hot air rises) but if you're in the stalls the air conditioning may make it a bit chilly, so layers are good.
Thats where I seen the same play in the city and it was amazing...wear something comfortable. I went in the summer and it was freezing in there so dress light and casual but bring a sweater or jacket just in case. Enjoy the best play ever!
Unfortunately, theatres do not have dress codes. They SHOULD, and it used to be that you did not attend a play in anything less than your best dress and tuxedo. But theatres are not going to turn away $100 if it shows up wearing jeans and a T-shirt. Jeans and T will be woefully underdressed and hopefully will have to sit beside an old Jewish lady from Queens just to emphasize that point (her fur coat will occupy most of the adjoining seats). Even jeans and T could trouble themselves to put a jacket over the T shirt and call themselves Billy Joel or find a nice pair of slacks and a sweater

In Shakespeare's day, if you could not be seen at court, then be seen at the theatre ws the next best thing. They did not want to be seen looking like a beggar -- you shouldn't either.

Also arrive on time or you will not be seated until the first convenient break and you will not be seated during a musical number. Since Phantom's music is fairly continuous, you risk missing an entire act. Friends of Cole Porter used to show up five minutes late so everyone would see them come in. When he wrote Anything Goes, he said if they show up late for this one, they'll miss the best song in the show and he wrote "You're the Top" to open it.
Oh I love that show!

I would suggest a nice, dressy top and simple black skirt. Comfy but nice black shoes as well. Also bring a shawl just in case it is cold in the theater
You should wear a black suit or something ilke that and then you must wear a completely white mask. Nothing should be on the white mask. It should be plain.
