Question:

How hard is Polichinelle by Rachmaninoff? (piano)?

How hard is it to play Polichinelle by Rachmaninoff on the piano?
is it harder than Chopin's Black keys/Revolutnionary Etude?
can it be mastered(i mean being able to play at a local competition) in two months if you practice about 1hr a day?
(i currently play stuff like Bach Sinfonia, Mozart Sonata, etc.)
any tips on playing it? it sounds really fast :)

It is fairly easy to play it. You should be able to get the gist of it in one weekend. Spend a little more than an hour at a time at it - maybe an hour and a half or two hours for the first week if you can, you will find it will go much much smoother.

There is a lot of repitition in this piece and the hand placements are fairly relatively even throughout the entire piece. Spend some time deciphering the hand placements.

Remember that this is meant to be played as a duet with a violin and is supposed to be a love seranade to a royal woman.
