Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Well, my voice teacher reckons that your voice is only truly hydrated when you have drunk so much water your urine is clear. It takes about 2 litres and isnot as hard going as it sounds. If you use your diaphragm muscles and don't tense your throat you won't damage either. If it hurts, stop! thats the general rule. Make sure you go to the bathroom before getting on stage though.....
