Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: You have a really nice voice, but you could work on some technique things. One big thing is that you need to sing a phrase not just the words. A phrase is a complete thought, the music has words so it should be easier to determine what the phrasing should be. An example would be "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas, make the yuletide gay!" You should not breathe until after "Gay" in order to complete the idea or the message that the writer is trying to convey. In your singing, you tend to breathe after every word. An example would be, " Have. Your. Self. A. Merry. Little. Christ. Mas." Don't be choppy, make it smooth and connected. Another thing is that you need to pronounce each word so that everyone knows what you are singing, just because the song is popular, doesn't mean that everyone knows the words. Be clear in your delivery of the text (words). Be aware of your starting pitches in your entrances. Some of the starting notes were fuzzy. Support your sound, use more air so that you have a fuller sound, especially on the higher notes. If you do these small things to polish your singing, the public will be begging you for more!! |
