Can a person learn to sing??

Question:

Can a person learn to sing??

I don't mean be the next American Idol, but just carry a tune, sing a single song well. If so how?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I think most people can learn with practice and a good teacher. It does help if you can carry somewhat of a tune to begin with, but not necessary. I have known a few of my friends that couldn't sing to save their lives and after going to music school and voice training one of them is on the road touring all over the place with her music and she has the most lovely angelic voice. I would have never guessed that would have came from her.
