Does matter what age a person starts singing?

I'm 13 and I'll be 14 in February and I want to learn how to sing. Most of the artists I look up to started out very young, like from 2-9, and I wanna be just as good as them.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Hey, I'm about your age and I just started a public choir a year ago and I'm starting voice lessons soon. You're at the perfect age and don't worry, you can get just as good as those stars if you're a good enough singer and you put your mind to it. Most schools have a choir and usually the teacher gives private vocal lessons for free which is a great chance for you. Also, if you think you're good enough (which you probably are) try out for your school's musical, most schools have one or a play. Don't let your voice go to waste, consider bigger and bigger things. Start out with the school play first.
