I need some guidance about saxophone from an expert please.?

Hi, I appreciate if some could help to choose the right sax to start with. I am 30 years old and very much familiar with music. I have been playing the guitar for 18 years professionally but I have no idea about woodwinds. I am interested in sax but I don't know alto or tenor and also if it is reliable to buy from eBay to start with. and what I have to look for.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: For an adult, alto or tenor doesn't make a difference. Yes, you'll need more air for the tenor, but it won't make it any more difficult as you are learning from scratch anyway. For someone that does not know instruments, Ebay is not reliable. There are tons of saxophones on there for 100-200 bucks including shipping, but they are cheap no-name instruments. I would recommend renting from your local music store first as this allows you to try the instrument before spending hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars to buy something that you may not like learning.
