Question:

Vocal range?

I want to be able to sing songs by Yellowcard or My Chemical romance, but my range isn't high enough. Is there a way to increase my range through practice or am I stuck with what I've got?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It depends how old you are. Has your voice changed? I'm assuming it has, most 13 year olds aren't into bands like this. As far as stretching your range, it is possible, but only by a few notes either way. You must have a good voice teacher to guide you through this process. Also, Gerard has mastered the art of acessing his falsetto. A man's falsetto is what you might think of as his "girly" voice. Those high notes that sound impossible to reach? Falsetto! Josh Groban does this frequently on his new album too. Find a good voice teacher and good luck!
