Question:

How does a vocalist "touch" your senses?

I would appreciate someone outlining how a vocalist can move you. I love to sing and though not a professional, I would love to know what moves others so that I can try some techniques and improve my voice. thanks. I am speaking of any classical/pop. or other kinds of music, but mainly classical using vibratto and pop using less vibrato but more emotion.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I'm a vocalist myself (training, not professional) and I find that the vocal students older than I touch me most when they look me sincerely in the eyes. Also, when they sing, it doesn't look like a performance- it looks like they're remembering something or speaking out to someone; I think that's something that gets to the audience.
